Atticus 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Our 09 Willamette Valley is a blend of 45% Atticus Vineyard Pommard; 30% Hawks View Dijon 777; 10% Hawks View Wadenswil; 5% Bishop Creek Field Blend (Dijon 777, Wadenswil& Pommard). The wine was raised in 20% new French oak for 10 months and after racking and blending spent a further 2 months in the same barrels. Beautiful tayberries, black plums and red juicy fruits on the nose are accented with sweet spice and sassafras. Bright raspberries welcome the palate with fleshy black plums providing a lush and rich mouth feel, leading to a smooth lengthy finish with hints of anise and caramel.
